This is a collection of resources from the Georgia Performance Standards website.
While I dislike being told what to teach and how (which makes the Quality Core Curriculum explained to us in class horrrifying to me), I have a responsibility to my students to ensure that they are competent at the standards. There are a lot of resources here to help me do so, and I can apply them in my own way. There is room for creativity in the GPS framework.
Frameworks – There’s a lot of good information to work from on this page. Browsing through it provides a lot of information and ideas for applying the standards to the classroom.
Quality Core Curriculum – The predecessor to the Georgia Performance Standards. From the way this was described in class by Dr. Dail, I would have hated this. Interesting from an evolutionary standpoint.
ELA High School Standards – The page most of us in 3241 have probably seen a thousand times at KSU. The ELA standards for Georgia, grades 9-12. I think I have them memorized, but they are useful as a road map to where my students are expected to be at the end of a school year.
